Becky Schaffer Night

Join the Yarmouth Hockey Family in honoring "SK8GIRL" Becky Schaffer '06 at the boys hockey team's home opener on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 at the Travis Roy Arena at NYA at 6:50 pm.

Becky played on the girls club team all four years, and the boys varsity team for several of those years. She graduated from McGill University in 2010, and spent some time volunteering at the Sanchat Restart Center in Kenya in 2010 and 2011. After being accepted into the WorldTeach program, Becky was assigned to teach at a public school in Micronesia. On the last day of the training program prior to the start of the school year, she died in a hiking accident.

Come along to the game to honor Becky, as the boys and girls teams remember Becky. Due to her interest in the Sanchat Restart Center, donations to that center will be gratefully accepted.
