Donna Beggs ’68

October 9, 2012

Donna Beggs passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Central Maine Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at the Crossman Funeral Home in Lisbon Falls, where she lived.

After graduating from the Mercy School of Xray in 1970, Donna worked as an Xray technician at the Pineland Center for many years. After the Center closed, she worked for the State of Maine as a Disability Examiner. Among her survivors is her daughter, Kim Lausier of Lisbon, and her brother, Joseph Beggs ’63.

Thomas Moulton ’76

March 14, 2012

Tom Moulton died on February 27, 2012 after a year-long battle with brain cancer.

Among his survivors are his daughters Darcee ’03 and Stephanie ’11, son Keith ’07, and step-son Shane Perreault ’09.

Bobbie Jo Grant ’87

January 25, 2012

Bobbie Jo Grant died December 8, 2011 at the Kindred Hospital in Brighton, MA from complications of the lifelong challenges of spinal bifida. She will be remembered for her determination, and strong sense of independence. Her “handicap” did not stop her from tackling life’s challenges.

Her survivors include her daughter Taylor, the source of her greatest happiness in life.

Michael King ’81

January 24, 2012

Michael King died suddenly on December 31, 2011 of a coronary thrombosis. He is survived by his father Gary King, Sr., and brothers Gary, Jr. and David.

Michael enjoyed music and song writing, and was one of the cofounders of WYAR Heritage Radio of Yarmouth.

Becky Schaffer ’06

January 18, 2012

Becky Schaffer died during a hiking accident in Micronesia on Sunday, August 6, 2011. She was completing a training session there prior to a one year teaching assignment under the auspices of WorldTeach.

A graduate of McGill University, Becky thirst for adventure and helping others led her England, India, and Kenya, where she volunteered at the Sanchat Restart Center in Gilgil. At YHS, Becky played on both the girls’ and boys’ hockey teams, and was a Playmaker.

The Forecaster carried her obituary in its August 16, 2011 edition.
