Janice Ayer, who, along with Jack Stroud, started the physical education program at YHS, passed away in early September, 2008.
Janice attended UMO and received a B.S. degree from Springfield College. She came to YHS in the fall of 1961 and remained on the faculty until 1979. In addition to teaching physical education, she coached girls’ basketball and swimming.
