Sports Update – October 2nd

October 2, 2017

Here is how the teams stand with a couple of weeks remaining in the regular season:

Cross Country – Both Boys and Girls competed in the Festival of Champions in Belfast on September 30th.  This annual event drew over 1,700 runners, with teams from out of state participating along with many Maine schools.  The Boys place 16th.  Luke Laverdiere ’18 won the race, besting 932 other runners in the 5K race.   He missed breaking the course record by four seconds.  The Girls made a strong showing, placing fifth.  Sophia Laukli ’18 finished 2nd, followed by Anneka Murrin ’18 in 9th place.

Field Hockey:  8-2 record, 2n in Heal Points behind York.  Big game against York tonight.

Football:  0-5 record.

Golf:  5-5 record.

Boys Soccer:  9-0 record, 1st place in Heal Points

Girls Soccer:  10-0 record, 1st place in Heal Points?

Volleyball:  8-1 record.
