Elizabeth Doyle died peacefully on October 29, 2013 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. A long time employee of the Town of Falmouth, after retirement she and her husband Gordon spent their winters in Arizona and summers in Maine to spend time with her two sons and other family. Her funeral service and burial were held in Yarmouth on November 4, 2013.

We recently learned of the death of Joseph Beggs ’63. Joseph died suddenly on July 13, 2013 at his home in North Yarmouth. Joe was employed by the State of Maine at the Pineland Center in New Gloucester and later was transferred to the DHS in Portland before becoming disabled.

He was predeceased by his sister, Donna Beggs ’68. His full obituary appeared in the Portland Press Herald on July 12, 2013.

Wayne Nickerson died unexpectedly on March 8, 2013. An avid outdoorsman, he was killed in a snowmobile accident.

His life was celebrated in a memorial service on March 1th, held at the First Baptist Church in Yarmouth, followed by a reception at the AMVETS Hall.

Dawn Elizabeth Newell died in a tragic snowmobile accident in Rangeley, ME on December 30, 2012. At the time of her death she was living in Yarmouth and working as a dispatcher for the Cumberland and Yarmouth Police Departments.

Among her survivors are her son Kyle of Durham, father Bruce ’62, brother Brett ’91, and cousins Lisa ’84 and Kristin ’85.
